Raj Enterprises has stood on the corner of Bethnal Green Road for more than three decades, the kind of independent shop that seems to stock the one thing you can't find anywhere else, and change your watch battery while you're at it.
Regulars come back for the honest service and fair prices as much as the range. It's a proper East London variety shop: watches and clocks at the front, gifts and gadgets along the walls, and a few useful services besides.

Can you change my watch battery while I wait?
Yes — for most watches the battery is replaced and the case-back resealed at the counter in a few minutes, so you can wait and take it with you. A few sealed or water-resistant watches need a little more care; if yours is one of those we'll tell you when you drop it in. It's worth a quick call on 020 7613 4378 before travelling far.
How much is a watch battery, and do you repair watches?
Prices depend on the watch and the battery it takes, so we'll give you the price when you bring it in — customers regularly tell us it's a good deal less than the high-street chains. As well as batteries we handle straps, pins, links and small watch repairs in store.
What else do you sell?

Do you do passport photos and Western Union?
Yes. Passport and ID photos are taken in store, and we're a Western Union point, so you can send or receive money worldwide from the shop. Both are signposted on the shopfront.
What are your opening hours?
We're open Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 16:00, and closed on Sundays. The banner at the top of the page shows live whether we're open right now. Times can vary, so please confirm with the shop if you're making a special trip.
